My First Venture in Blogging
This is my first venture in blogging. I welcome any comments (as long as they are constructive)
What's the big deal about Macs anyway?
Is it just me or has the last few months seen an over-abundance of "Mac Media". I have been inundated with television commercials, e-mails and print advertising preaching the overall supremacy of the Mac. Its just me.
You know how when you buy a new car, you all of a sudden recognize every car of the same make and model that you come across. Its the same way when you get a Mac. Yes I am a new "convert" to the "Mac Way".
I have been a technology consultant for the last 17 years making my living creating software for various business segments, and yes all of which ran on PCs. I recently gained a client that needed me to write some software that would create a file that would be imported into Quark Express on their Mac. All of a sudden I needed a Mac to get my job done. I purchased a G5 iMac on ebay and it served the purpose of testing the software quite well. But something happened; I actually enjoyed using the Mac...and it never crashed with the Blue Screen of Death (a weekly occurrence with my PC)
Long story short...I am now the proud owner of a Power Mac which I now use for all of my software development work. (Parallels allows me to use the development tools that must run under Windows)
